Caffeine and Reduction of Stroke in Women

Caffeine Can Be Healthy!
If you like coffee, there may be more benefits to drinking it than that morning caffeine fix. It turns out that besides the known effects of coffee, or caffeine, there are more benefits than previously thought. Most recently, the coffee drinker who drinks three to five cups of coffee per day had shown and been established that may reduce risk of Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, type 2 diabetes, liver disease, gout, and cancer.
Caffeine may taken in the morning either through coffee or powder, can also improve memory retention and help with attention span. However, with coffee, there is a risk of cholesterol, due to the unhelpful effects of two chemicals naturally part of the coffee bean known as cafestol and kahweol. It has been shown that these two chemicals seem to raise blood cholesterol which can be a risk of heart disease. This is one reason I would suggest caffeine powder, not only do you take out that risk, you can add it to any type of food or beverage.
Now there is another health benefit to your caffeine fix, it has been shown to reduce the possibility of strokes in middle-aged women and older. There was a study done by Swedish researchers that put down the belief that coffee consumption is bad for your health. It was proven that women who drank one cup or more a day would be less likely to have a stroke compared to those who do not.
The study comprised of almost 35,000 women from the age of 49 to 83 years old. They followed these women for over 10 years, and found that those who did drink coffee daily end up having almost a 25 percent lower risk of stroke than those who did not drink coffee.
The reason why it may have an effect on strokes is still being investigated, but some feel it may have something to do with the reduction of inflammation and also have the way it increases the responsiveness to insulin which both can lower the risk of stroke.
Moderation is the key to any consumption of coffee or caffeine. The addictive qualities and the negative effects of the coffee bean can lead to serious health problems. If taken moderately, it has been proven to show positive health benefits to caffeine taken daily.
